Effective July 1, 2009, Recording fees for the first page of any document will increase from $43.00 to $53.00. The fee for additional pages per document remains at $5.00 per page. This increase is per Public Act 09-229.

ANNUAL DOG SURVEY
New Hartford conducts an annual door to door survey in search of unlicensed dogs. Residents are reminded that failure to license a dog is a $75.00 infraction per State Statute 22-349. In addition, failure to inoculate a dog or a cat is a $136.00 infraction per State Statute 22-339-B.
Dogs are licensed with the Town Clerk during regular office hours. Proof of a current rabies certificate and proof of neutering or spaying is required. The license fees are $19.00 for a male or female and $8.00 if the dog is neutered or spayed. There is an additional dollar per month late fee assessed from July 1, 2009 for delinquent dogs.
Residents may license their dogs by mail, sending the necessary paperwork with a self-addressed envelope to Donna LaPlante, Town Clerk at PO Box 426, New Hartford.
